The selection procedure, in which the winning team was chosen from among 13 providers in a number of phases extending over several months, involved specialists from Flughafen Zürich AG and Swiss Life AG. Flughafen Zürich AG, in conjunction with its co-investor Swiss Life AG, has now awarded the contract for implementation planning and realization of construction work at «The Circle» to HRS Real Estate AG. The agreed cost ceiling is in line with the figure originally projected.

Demolition work is already in progress. The construction work is expected to commence in September 2015 with excavation of the site. Completion of the first phase is scheduled for the end of 2018. 

About «The Circle» 
«The Circle» is intended to become a destination in its own right as a service center at Zurich Airport. Just steps away from the terminal buildings, the new, architecturally striking complex will be a dynamic, multi-purpose hub. With the atmosphere of an international business district, it will be a location for business and lifestyle. The investment costs amount to around one billion Swiss francs. Flughafen Zürich AG and Swiss Life AG will form a joint ownership company once construction begins, with Flughafen Zürich AG holding a 51% stake and Swiss Life AG 49%.
