Zurich Airport News Flash No. 14 / Decision on operational charges by the Swiss Federal Administrative Court Donnerstag, 02. Juli 2015 - 12:04

The decree, which has been issued on November 14, 2013 and appealed by the airlines, is sent back to the Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) for a partial reassessment. The Federal Administrative Court has defined benchmarks on several issues and therefore determined the course of the next steps by FOCA. If neither party does appeal against the decision, FOCA will make a new decision based on the considerations of the court. 

Flughafen Zürich AG will now analyze in detail all the reasons and statements of the Federal Administrative Court individually and decide on the further procedure afterwards. 

As there is no final decision related to this decree, the new operational charges approved on November 14, 2013 cannot be implemented for the time being. Therefore, the existing operational charges (in particular landing and passenger charges) will be collected going forward.
