Traffic Figures
2,311,757 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in June 2015, a gain of 0.8% versus June 2014. O&D or local passengers (originating or departing from Zurich) increased by 2.1% to 1,635,039 compared to previous June. Transfer passengers decreased by 2.3% to 670,264. The transfer rate which was at 30.0% last June is currently at 29.1%.

Air traffic movements (ATM’s) decreased by 1.3% to 23,604 in June versus previous year. The decrease divides into a decrease of 1.6% for airlines and an increase of 0.6% for general aviation.

The average passenger per movement figure (airline passengers only) currently is at 114.5 (111.8 previous year). The average seat load factor saw an increase of 0.7 percentage points to 77.7%.

Commercial Figures
Total turnover (net sales to consumers) during June was CHF 45.7m (-2.6% versus previous year). Turnover per departing passenger in June was CHF 39.5, which is 3.3% lower than last year. Year to date June, total turnover saw a decrease of 1.6% to CHF 253.4 and turnover departing passenger decreased by 4.2% to CHF 41.5.
