Galenica: 2015 zum 20. Mal in der Folge Gewinnerhöhung erwartet
Im ersten Halbjahr 2015 weisen alle Geschäftsaktivitäten der Galenica Gruppe eine sehr erfreuliche Entwicklung aus. Insbesondere gelang es Vifor Pharma, die plangemäss weggefallenen Meilensteinzahlungen von rund CHF 70 Mio. mit umsatzbasiertem Betriebsergebnis mehr als zu kompensieren.
Obwohl im ersten Halbjahr 2015 Währungsverluste sowie rechnungslegungstechnische Elemente aus IAS 19 das Halbjahresresultat belasten, erhöht das Management der Gruppe die Gewinn-Prognose und geht davon aus, 2015 – berechnet auf den durchschnittlichen Wechselkursen des ersten Halbjahrs 2015 – zum 20. Mal in Folge den Gewinn sowohl vor als auch nach Abzug von Minderheiten zu erhöhen.
Der konsolidierte Nettoumsatz der Galenica Gruppe erhöhte sich im ersten Halbjahr 2015 um 7.9% auf CHF 1’792.3 Mio. Der Gewinn vor Abzug von Minderheiten stieg um 5.5% auf CHF 157.8 Mio., der Gewinn nach Abzug von Minderheiten sank um 2.8% auf CHF 130.8 Mio. Auf vergleichbarer Basis – ohne Wechselkursverluste und ohne Elemente aus IAS 19 – erhöhte sich der Gewinn vor Abzug von Minderheiten um 13.8% auf CHF 170.2 Mio. und nach Abzug von Minderheiten um 6.4% auf CHF 143.2 Mio.
Vifor Pharma
Die Umsätze von Ferinject® stiegen um 30.1% auf CHF 112.1 Mio., wobei sich die Anzahl verkaufter Einheiten (100 mg) um 41% erhöhte. In den USA verzeichnete der Partner Luitpold im ersten Halbjahr einen Nettoumsatz von USD 48.9 Mio. und erreichte damit bereits fast den Ganzjahresumsatz 2014. Auch der neue Phosphatbinder Velphoro® entwickelt sich planmässig und wurde mittlerweile nebst den USA in neun weiteren Ländern lanciert.
Ende Mai 2015 schloss Galenica mit Roche eine exklusive Lizenzvereinbarung für die Vermarktung und den Vertrieb des Roche-Medikaments Mircera® in den USA und Puerto Rico ab. Die Umsätze aus der Vertriebsvereinbarung mit Roche betrugen im ersten Halbjahr 2015 CHF 44.7 Mio.
Galenica Santé
Der kontinuierliche Druck auf die Medikamentenpreise und der aufgrund der Frankenstärke zunehmende Einkaufstourismus setzen den Schweizer Gesundheitsmarkt anhaltend unter Druck. Dennoch behaupteten sich alle Geschäftsbereiche von Galenica Santé mit Erfolg und konnten sowohl Umsatz als auch EBIT steigern.
Per 1. September 2015 führt Galenica Santé eine neue Organisations- und Führungsstruktur ein mit den drei Geschäftsbereichen Products & Brands, Retail und Services.

Galenica: 2015 augmentation du bénéfice attendue pour la 20e fois consécutive
Au premier semestre 2015, toutes les activités du Groupe Galenica ont affiché un développement très réjouissant. En particulier Vifor Pharma qui a réussi à largement compenser le recul prévu des paiements intermédiaires d’un montant d’environ CHF 70 mio. par le résultat d’exploitation basé sur le chiffre d’affaires.
Bien que des pertes de change et des éléments comptables liés à la norme IAS 19 pèsent sur le résultat semestriel, le management du Groupe augmente les prévisions de bénéfice – calculé sur des cours de change moyens du premier semestre 2015 – et table sur une augmentation du bénéfice 2015 pour la 20e fois consécutive, aussi bien avant qu’après déduction des intérêts minoritaires.
Au premier semestre 2015, le chiffre d’affaires net consolidé du Groupe Galenica a augmenté de 7,9% à CHF 1’792,3 mio. Le bénéfice avant déduction des intérêts minoritaires a progressé de 5,5% à CHF 157,8 mio. et le bénéfice après déduction des intérêts minoritaires a reculé de 2,8% à CHF 130,8 mio. Sur une base comparable – soit sans pertes de change et sans éléments comptables liés à la norme IAS 19 – le bénéfice avant déduction des intérêts minoritaires a augmenté de 13,8% à CHF 170,2 mio. et le bénéfice après déduction des intérêts minoritaires a progressé de 6,4% à CHF 143,2 mio.

Les chiffres d’affaires de Ferinject® ont augmenté de 30,1% à CHF 112,1 mio., tandis que le nombre total d’unités vendues (100 mg) a progressé de 41%. Aux États-Unis, le chiffre d’affaires net du partenaire Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, Inc., s’est élevé à USD 48,9 mio. au cours du premier semestre 2015, ce qui a déjà quasiment permis d’atteindre le chiffre d’affaires annuel de 2014. L’adsorbant de phosphate Velphoro® s’est lui aussi développé comme prévu et a été lancé, outre les États-Unis, dans neuf autres pays.
Fin mai 2015, Galenica a conclu avec Roche un accord de licence exclusive pour la commercialisation du médicament Mircera® de Roche aux Etats-Unis et à Porto Rico. Les chiffres d’affaires résultant de l’accord avec Roche ont atteint CHF 44,7 mio. au premier semestre 2015.
Galenica Santé
La pression constante sur les prix des médicaments et l’augmentation du tourisme de consommation résultant de la force du franc suisse exercent une pression constante sur le marché suisse de la santé. Néanmoins, tous les Domaines d’activités de Galenica Santé se sont maintenus avec succès et ont pu augmenter le chiffre d’affaires ainsi que l’EBIT.
Au 1er septembre 2015, Galenica Santé introduit une nouvelle structure d’organisation et de direction avec les trois Domaines d’activités Products & Brands, Retail et Services.

Galenica: Profit increase expected in 2015 for the 20th consecutive year
All Galenica Group businesses put in a very pleasing performance in the first half of 2015. In particular, Vifor Pharma managed to overcompensate the expected ceased milestone payments of about CHF 70 million through the sales-based consolidated earnings.
Although the first half of 2015 was impacted by currency exchange losses and accounting components of IAS 19, the Group management is raising the profit forecast and expects that 2015 – calculated at the average exchange rates during the first half of 2015 – will see the 20th consecutive increase in profit, both before and after minority interests.
The consolidated net sales of the Galenica Group rose by 7.9% in the first half of 2015 to CHF 1,792.3 million. Net profit before deduction of minority interests rose by 5.5% to CHF 157.8 million and net profit after deduction of minority interests declined by 2.8% to CHF 130.8 million. On a comparable basis – without currency exchange losses and accounting components of IAS 19 – net profit before deduction of minority interests rose by 13.8% to CHF 170.2 million and net profit after deduction of minority interests increased by 6.4% to CHF 143.2 million.
Vifor Pharma
Sales of Ferinject® rose by 30.1% to CHF 112.1 million, whereby the number of units sold (100 mg) increased by 41%. In the USA, partner Luitpold Pharmaceuticals, Inc., posted net sales of USD 48.9 million in the first half of 2015 – already nearly matching the sales figures for the full-year of 2014. The new phosphate binder Velphoro® also performed as planned and has now been launched in the US and nine other countries.
At the end of May 2015, Galenica entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Roche to market and distribute the Roche Mircera® product in the US and Puerto Rico. Sales generated through the distribution agreement with Roche amounted to CHF 44.7 million in the first half of 2015.
Galenica Santé
The ongoing pressure on drug prices and the rising consumer tourism due to the strong Swiss franc continue to keep the Swiss healthcare market under pressure. Nevertheless, all of the Galenica Santé Business sectors have successfully held their ground, increasing both sales and EBIT.
Per 1 September 2015, Galenica Santé will introduce a new organisational and management structure with the three Business sectors: Products & Brands, Retail and Services.
