Wechsel an der Spitze der Orell Füssli Thalia AG Donnerstag, 19. November 2015 - 07:06
Zürich, 19. November 2015 - Der CEO der Orell Füssli Thalia AG, Dr. Michele Bomio, verlässt das Unternehmen und gibt sein Amt per Ende 2015 auf eigenen Wunsch ab. Der Verwaltungsrat hat die Regelung der Nachfolge eingeleitet. Interimistisch wird das Unternehmen durch den CFO Pascal Schneebeli geführt.
Dr. Michele Bomio hatte im Oktober 2013 die Führung der Orell Füssli Thalia AG übernommen. Zuvor war er bereits vier Jahre als Geschäftsleiter der Thalia Bücher AG tätig.
Der Verwaltungsrat der Orell Füssli Thalia AG dankt Dr. Michele Bomio für sein grosses Engagement und seinen Einsatz. „Michele Bomio hat nach rund sieben Jahren im Unternehmen den Wunsch geäussert, sich neuen Herausforderungen zu stellen. Er hat wesentlich dazu beigetragen, dass Orell Füssli Thalia seine Position als grösstes Schweizer Buchhandelsunternehmen weiterentwickelt hat. Wir wünschen ihm für seine weitere berufliche und persönliche Zukunft alles Gute.“
Nach dem Ausscheiden von Dr. Michele Bomio und bis zur Regelung der Nachfolge wird das Unternehmen interimistisch durch CFO Pascal Schneebeli geführt.
Die Orell Füssli Thalia AG ist ein Joint Venture zwischen der Orell Füssli Buchhandlungs AG und der Thalia Bücher AG. Der Anteil von Orell Füssli beträgt 50%.

Zurich, November 19, 2015 – Dr Michele Bomio, CEO of Orell Füssli Thalia AG, has decided to leave the company and will relinquish his post at his own request at the end of 2015. The Board of Directors has initiated the succession process. CFO Pascal Schneebeli will head the company ad interim.
Dr Michele Bomio took the helm at Orell Füssli Thalia in October 2013, having already previously served as CEO of Thalia Bücher AG for four years.
The Board of Directors of Orell Füssli Thalia expresses its thanks to Dr Bomio for his valuable contributions and important commitment. “After some seven years with the company, Michele Bomio has expressed the wish to pursue new challenges. He has contributed significantly to the further development of Orell Füssli Thalia’s position as Switzerland’s largest book retailer. We wish him all the best for his further professional and personal future.”
Following Dr Bomio’s departure and until the succession issue has been settled, the company will be headed ad interim by CFO Pascal Schneebeli.
Orell Füssli Thalia AG is a joint venture between Orell Füssli Buchhandlungs AG and Thalia Bücher AG. Orell Füssli holds a stake of 50%.
