SIX Swiss Exchange celebrates 20 years of fully electronic trading

Today marks the 20th anniversary of the introduction of fully electronic trading on SIX Swiss Exchange. 8 December 1995 ushered in a new era for the Swiss financial center. SIX Swiss Exchange was the first stock exchange worldwide to switch from floor trading to electronic trading with fully integrated transaction processing and settlement. This created the Swiss Value Chain, which to this day occupies a unique position as an end-to-end value chain in the financial center infrastructure currently operated by SIX.

Zum 20. Mal jährt sich die Einführung des vollelektronischen Handels an SIX Swiss Exchange. Der 8. Dezember 1995 markierte für den Schweizer Finanzplatz ein neues Zeitalter. Als erste Börse weltweit stellte die Schweizer Börse vom Ringhandel auf den elektronischen Handel mit vollintegrierter Verarbeitung und Abwicklung der Transaktionen um. Damit entstand die bis heute einzigartige Swiss Value Chain als vollständige Wertschöpfungskette in der Finanzplatz-Infrastruktur, die heute von SIX betrieben wird.

Cela fait aujourd'hui 20 ans que SIX Swiss Exchange a introduit le négoce entièrement électronique. Le 8 décembre 1995 a marqué le début d’une nouvelle ère pour la place financière suisse. La Bourse suisse a été la première bourse au monde à passer du système de la corbeille à celui du tout-électronique, avec intégration totale du traitement et du règlement des transactions. C’est ainsi qu’est apparue la Swiss Value Chain, une chaîne de création de valeur unique en son genre, intégrée à l’infrastructure de la place financière et gérée par SIX.
