(SIX: SFZN) Der Verwaltungsrat der Siegfried Holding AG schlägt der Generalversammlung die Zuwahl von Ulla Schmidt, MdB, Vizepräsidentin des deutschen Bundestags, und Ständerat Dr. Martin Schmid in den Verwaltungsrat vor.
Ulla Schmidt ist seit 1990 Mitglied des deutschen Bundestags, seit 2013 als Vizepräsidentin. Von 2001 bis 2009 war sie Bundesministerin für Gesundheit. Sie hat an der Hochschule Aachen bis zum Vordiplom Psychologie studiert und dann ein Studium für das Lehramt für Grund- und Hauptschule abgeschlossen. Vor ihrer Wahl in den Bundestag bekleidete sie in Aachen verschiedene öffentliche Ämter, unter anderem war sie Ratsfrau der Stadt Aachen.
Dr. Martin Schmid ist seit 2011 Ständerat des Kantons Graubünden. 2003 – 2011 war er Regierungsrat. Er leitete das Departement für Justiz, Sicherheit und Gesundheit und anschliessend das Finanzdepartement. Martin Schmid ist Rechtsanwalt und bekleidet diverse VR-Mandate in den Bereichen Energie und Bau. Er studierte an der HSG in St. Gallen Rechtswissenschaften und doktorierte dort im Jahr 2005.
Dr. Andreas Casutt, Präsident, Colin Bond, Prof. Dr. Wolfram Carius, Reto Garzetti und Thomas Villiger stehen für eine Wiederwahl zur Verfügung.

Siegfried: Ulla Schmidt and Martin Schmid recommended for nomination to the Board of Directors
(SIX: SFZN) At the 2016 Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors of Siegfried Holding AG will recommend the nomination to the Board of Ulla Schmidt, Vice President of the German Bundestag, and Martin Schmid, Member of Switzerland’s Council of State.
Ulla Schmidt was elected to the German Bundestag in 1990 and named its Vice-President in 2013. She served as Minister of Health on the Cabinet of the Federal Republic of Germany from 2001 to 2009. She was an undergraduate psychology student at the University of Aachen and graduated with a teaching diploma from that university. Prior to her election to the Bundestag she served in public office in Aachen, including the city council.
Martin Schmid was elected Councilor of State for Canton Grisons in 2011. Prior, from 2003 to 2011, he served as member of the Canton Grisons government, where he directed the Department of Justice, Security and Health and subsequently the Department of Finance. Martin Schmid is an attorney at law and serves on several corporate boards in the fields of energy and construction. He graduated from the University of St. Gallen where he was awarded a Ph.D. in 2005.
