Statement from ALTIN’s independent auditors relating to the dividend proposal by Alpine Select
Baar, 16 March 2016 – ALTIN AG (SIX: ALTN, LSE: AIA) - The Board of Directors of ALTIN AG (“ALTIN”) has been informed by its independent auditors that their report dated 25 February 2016 is being withdrawn due to the fact that Alpine Select AG (“Alpine Select”) has partially revised their dividend proposal by setting a due date of the dividend as 31 July 2016.
The auditors have withdrawn their report as Alpine Select have clarified a payout date (see media release issued by ALTIN on 7 March 2016). The auditors have however not concluded in their most recent letter that the dividend is in fact payable on 31 July 2016 as the work to support a positive conclusion is more extensive and cannot be carried out before the completion of the audit of the 2015 financial statements.
The Board of Directors of ALTIN reiterates its categorical rejection of the proposals by Alpine Select which it considers profoundly destabilising for ALTIN and not in the best interests of all shareholders.
The Extraordinary General Meeting will take place on 18 March 2016 at 2:00pm (CET) in Zug, Switzerland.
