- 5-year agreement signed with Huawei for the IT Infrastructure Operations
- Huawei to take care of Sunrise IT infrastructure and operations of IT systems in regards of Server, Infrastructure and Office IT
- 31 employees to join Huawei as of November 2016
Sunrise and Huawei have signed an agreement to outsource its IT Operations. The scope includes all IT base services from the operation of hardware, up to the database level that is required to run application services. The IT Strategy, Project Management and Development are not included in scope and will remain in-house.

The main targets are improved flexibility and state of the art services by using already developed services and a fast introduction of new services by a clear end-to-end responsibility by one partner.
The 31 employees will join Huawei in Dübendorf as of November 2016. There will be no lay-offs and the concerned employees will receive a work guarantee during 12 months with comparable conditions.
The staff committee and the Syndicom union have been informed and will work closely with the project team in the upcoming transition phase in order to ensure that the interests of the employees involved are taken into consideration.
