Neue Führung bei Vifor Pharma und neuer CFO Galenica Gruppe designiert
Der Verwaltungsrat der Galenica Gruppe hat Stefan Schulze, zurzeit CEO von Vifor Fresenius Medical Care Renal Pharma (VFMCRP), zum Chief Operating Officer (COO) und Direktionspräsidenten von Vifor Pharma designiert. Unter der bewährten Führung des Exekutiven Verwaltungsratspräsidenten Etienne Jornod wird Stefan Schulze diese Funktion ab der Generalversammlung der Galenica AG im Mai 2017 übernehmen.
Damit vertraut der Verwaltungsrat die Leitung von Vifor Pharma, die mit Pharma-Expertise kombiniert mit innovativen Partnerschaftsmodellen und einem nahen Zugang zu Patienten über ein einzigartiges Geschäftsmodell verfügt, zwei sehr erfahrenen Persönlichkeiten an, welche sich ideal ergänzen. Gemeinsam mit der Geschäftsleitung werden sie die vielseitigen Aufgaben und Herausforderungen des schnell wachsenden Unternehmens an die Hand nehmen, um Vifor Pharma erfolgreich in die Unabhängigkeit zu führen.
Bis zur Generalversammlung 2017 wird Gianni Zampieri weiterhin die operative Leitung von Vifor Pharma verantworten und Stefan Schulze sukzessive in die verschiedenen Aufgaben und Verantwortlichkeiten einführen. Gleichzeitig wird sich Stefan Schulze um seine Nachfolge als CEO bei VFMCRP kümmern. Anlässlich der nächsten Generalversammlung wird Gianni Zampieri den Aktionären zur Wahl in den Verwaltungsrat vorgeschlagen werden.
Im Weiteren hat der Verwaltungsrat Felix Burkhard per 1. Januar 2017 zum CFO der Galenica Gruppe ernannt. Felix Burkhard wird ab diesem Zeitpunkt das Amt als CFO von Jörg Kneubühler übernehmen, der seit 2014 als CFO Galenica Gruppe und CEO Galenica Santé eine Doppelfunktion verantwortet und sich mit dieser Übergabe künftig vollumfänglich auf seine Funktion als CEO Galenica Santé konzentrieren wird.

Désignation d’une nouvelle direction pour Vifor Pharma et d’un nouveau CFO pour le Groupe Galenica
Le Conseil d’administration du Groupe Galenica a nommé Stefan Schulze, actuel CEO de Vifor Fresenius Medical Care Renal Pharma (VFMCRP), Chief Operating Officer (COO) et Président de la Direction de Vifor Pharma. Stefan Schulze prendra ses fonctions sous la direction aguerrie du Président Exécutif Etienne Jornod à compter de l’Assemblée générale de Galenica SA en mai 2017.
Le Conseil d’administration confie ainsi à deux personnes très expérimentées et complémentaires la direction de Vifor Pharma, dont le modèle d’affaires unique associe l’expertise Pharma, des modèles de partenariats innovants et la proximité des patients (« close access to patients »). En collaboration avec le Comité de direction, ils se chargeront des tâches et défis variés de l’entreprise à la croissance rapide afin de mener Vifor Pharma avec succès vers son indépendance.
Jusqu’à l’Assemblée générale de 2017, Gianni Zampieri continuera d’assurer la direction opérationnelle de Vifor Pharma et introduira progressivement Stefan Schulze dans ses différentes missions et responsabilités. Parallèlement, Stefan Schulze s’occupera de son successeur comme CEO de VFMCRP. L’élection de Gianni Zampieri au Conseil d’administration sera proposée aux actionnaires lors de la prochaine Assemblée générale.
Par ailleurs, le Conseil d’administration a nommé Felix Burkhard CFO du Groupe Galenica à compter du 1er janvier 2017. Felix Burkhard succédera à ce poste à Jörg Kneubühler, qui assume depuis 2014 la double fonction de CFO du Groupe Galenica et CEO de Galenica Santé et qui sera ainsi en mesure de se consacrer pleinement à son rôle de CEO de Galenica Santé.

New management at Vifor Pharma and new Galenica Group CFO designated
The Board of Directors of the Galenica Group has designated Stefan Schulze, currently CEO of Vifor Fresenius Medical Care Renal Pharma (VFMCRP), as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President of the Executive Committee of Vifor Pharma. Under the proven leadership of the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, Etienne Jornod, Stefan Schulze will take over this position from the Annual General Meeting of Galenica Ltd. in May 2017.
In so doing, the Board of Directors is entrusting the management of Vifor Pharma, with its unique business model that combines pharma expertise with innovative business partnerships and close access to patients, to two very experienced individuals with complementary skills. Together with the Executive Committee, they will meet the numerous tasks and challenges facing the company during a period of rapid growth in order to lead Vifor Pharma successfully to independence.
Until the 2017 Annual General Meeting, Gianni Zampieri will remain responsible for the operational management of Vifor Pharma and will gradually introduce Stefan Schulze to the various duties and responsibilities. In parallel, Stefan Schulze will look for his successor as CEO of VFMCRP. At the next Annual General Meeting, Gianni Zampieri will be proposed to shareholders for election to the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors has also appointed Felix Burkhard as CFO of the Galenica Group with effect from 1 January 2017. From that date, Felix Burkhard will take over as CFO from Jörg Kneubühler, who has held the dual role of CFO of the Galenica Group and CEO of Galenica Santé since 2014. He will in future concentrate fully on his role as CEO of Galenica Santé.
