Traffic figures
2,662,445 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in October (+8.6% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 9.3% and transfer passengers by 6.5%. The transfer rate which was at 25.3% last October is at 24.8% in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In October, air traffic movements increased to 23,809 (+1.3% vs. previous year).

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor is at 79.3% (+0.5 percentage points vs. previous year) and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 125.4 (118.2 previous year).

Commercial Activities 
Total turnover in October was CHF 49.1m (+4.4% vs. previous year). The increase divides into +3.3% for airside and +5.9% for landside.
Year-to-date, total turnover saw an increase of +2.1% compared to last year (airside +2.9%, landside +0.9%). The spend per departing passenger is currently at CHF 38.8 (-2.5% vs. previous year).
