Traffic figures
2’195'583 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in March (+6.4% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 4.4% and transfer passengers by 11.4%. The transfer rate which was at 29.2% last March is at 30.5% in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In March, air traffic movements increased by 2.3% to 21,693 versus previous year.

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor saw an increase of 0.6 percentage points to 74.7% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 116.9 (111.5 previous year).

Commercial Activities 
Total turnover in March was CHF 43.3m (-0.3% vs. previous year). The decrease divides into +5.8% for airside and -7.6% for landside.
The spend per departing passenger is currently at CHF 40.5 (-4.3% vs. previous year).

Easter holiday is later this year compared to last year (April 2017 vs. March 2016).
