Credit Suisse Appoints Martin Keeble as Chief Executive Officer for Japan
Tokyo, April 2, 2013 Credit Suisse announced today the appointment of Martin Keeble as Representative in Japan for Credit Suisse AG, Tokyo Branch and Chief Executive Officer for Japan, effective April 1, 2013.
Mr Keeble will assume oversight for Credit Suisse’s overall franchise and business activities in Japan across its Private Banking & Wealth Management and Investment Banking Divisions. He will report to Eric Varvel, Credit Suisse’s Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific.
This appointment is in addition to his role as CEO, President and Representative Director of Credit Suisse Securities (Japan) Limited.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2000, Mr Keeble was deputy branch manager and head of sales and trading and dealing at Schroder Securities Limited in Japan. He has also worked for firms, including Nikko Europe Limited in London and Smith New Court Securities in Tokyo, dealing in Japanese equities.
