Traffic figures
2'629'470 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in June (+10.6% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 9.5% and transfer passengers increased by 13.7%. The transfer rate which was at 27.0% last June is at 27.7% in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In June, air traffic movements increased by 1.6% to 24,012 versus previous year. 

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor saw an increase of 3.6 percentage points to 78.3% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 127.3 (115.7 previous year).

Commercial Activities 
Total turnover in June was CHF 51.1m (+8.3% vs. previous year). The increase divides into +11.4% for airside and +4.0% for landside.

Please note
Whitsun holiday (public holiday) resulted in a base effect in June 2017 as Whitsun was later this year (June 2017 vs. May 2016).
