Im Rahmen einer strategischen Bereinigung trennt sich HUBER+SUHNER im Bahnmarkt in Europa vom Geschäft mit Build-to-print-Harnessing (Fertigung von Wagenkasten- und Unterflurverkabelungen nach Vorgabe). Im Zuge dieser Anpassung wurde am 31. Juli 2017 der Vertrag zum Verkauf des Kabelsystemprojekts für die Twindexx-Züge an Kabel-Technik Polska Sp. z o.o. (Teil der PKC Group innerhalb von MSSL) unterzeichnet. Der Verkauf soll per 1. September 2017, nach Ablauf einer Frist zur Erfüllung der Abschlussbedingungen, in Kraft treten. Die projektbedingt und ausschliesslich im Werk in Polen aufgebauten Produktionskapazitäten sowie die betroffenen Mitarbeitenden werden durch die Käuferin übernommen.
Das Geschäft mit Kabel-Meterware wird durch diesen Entscheid nicht tangiert. HUBER+SUHNER bleibt für diese Produkte weiterhin ein strategischer Lieferant und führender Anbieter im globalen Bahnmarkt.

HUBER+SUHNER with strategic focus in the railway market

As part of a strategic streamlining, HUBER+SUHNER has decided to distance itself in the European railway market from business involving build-to-print harnessing (production of carriage body and underfloor cabling to specification). As part of this alignment, HUBER+SUHNER signed the contract for the sale of its cable system project for the Twindexx trains to Kabel-Technik Polska Sp. z o.o. (part of PKC Group and ultimately MSSL) on 31 July 2017. The sale shall come into force on 1 September 2017, after the end of a phase for completion of closing conditions. The production capacities extended for this project exclusively at the plant in Poland and the employees concerned will transfer to the buyer.
The business with wires and cables is not affected by this decision. HUBER+SUHNER remains a strategic supplier and a leading provider of these products in the global railway market.
