GF Automotive, eine Division von Georg Fischer, erhielt von einem renommierten europäischen Lkw-Hersteller einen Grossauftrag über CHF 380 Mio. Die Serienfertigung startet noch im laufenden Quartal.
Der Auftrag umfasst Fahrwerks- und Antriebsteile aus innovativer Eisenlegierung im Leichtbau-Design. Die insgesamt mehr als 20 verschiedenen Bauteile werden in den Eisengiessereien in Singen (D), Mettmann (D) und Herzogenburg (A) gefertigt.
Die neuesten Nutzfahrzeuge wurden speziell mit Blick auf die strengen Euro-6-Abgasvorschriften entwickelt. Die neue Emissionsnorm ist in Europa ab Januar 2014 für alle neu zugelassenen Fahrzeuge bindend.

Georg Fischer wins major order for new truck generation
Apr 23, 2013 7:00 AMGF Automotive, a division of Georg Fischer, received a major order for over CHF 380 million from a well-known European truck manufacturer. The serial production starts in the current quarter.
The order involves chassis and engine parts made of innovative iron alloys in lightweight design. The more than 20 parts constituting the order will be produced in the iron foundries in Singen (Germany), Mettmann (Germany) and Herzogenburg (Austria).
The latest commercial vehicles have been developed to fulfill the strict Euro 6 emission regulations. The new emission standard is mandatory for all newly registered vehicles in Europe as of January 2014.
