Orell Füssli expects to report weaker annual results for 2017 following asset impairments at Atlantic Zeiser

Zurich, February 19, 2018 – In the course of drawing up the 2017 annual financial statements of the Orell Füssli Group, an impairment on net assets on the order of CHF 8 million has been identified relating to the holding in Atlantic Zeiser. This book value adjustment is being made after evaluating the business performance of Atlantic Zeiser and will have a negative impact on the annual results of the Orell Füssli Group, which therefore foresees net income for the 2017 financial year on the order of CHF 6 million (on the basis of unaudited figures). Excluding this impairment, results at Group level are within the range of expectations. An assessment of strategic options for Atlantic Zeiser is currently in progress.

The annual financial statements for 2017 will be published on March 20, 2018.
