Zurich Airport News Flash No. 6/2018 - Key Figures March 2018 Donnerstag, 12. April 2018 - 17:48

Traffic figures
2'392’696 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in March (+9.0% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 9.6% and transfer passengers increased by 7.5%. 
The transfer rate which was at 30.5% last March is at 30.1% in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In March, air traffic movements increased by 1.8% to 22'079 versus previous year. 

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor saw an increase of 2.5 percentage points to 77.2% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 124.7 (116.9 previous year).

Commercial Activities
Total turnover in March was CHF 48.6m (+11.6% vs. previous year). The increase divides into +13.2% for airside and +9.4% for landside.

Please note:
There was a positive impact on the key figures because of early Easter holidays.
