SGS Group: Strategic Review of Environment, Health & Safety Operations in France Donnerstag, 05. Juli 2018 - 08:44
Following a strategic dashboard review of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) operations in France, SGS has decided to divest its stack emission activity (part of its air monitoring business) operating out of two sites in Evry (Paris region) and Brive-la-Gaillarde (center).
In the future, the Group will continue to offer air
testing services in France out of its laboratory in Evry as well as
offering industrial hygiene services on a nationwide basis. The rest of
EHS services in France (soil, water, asbestos testing and monitoring)
will not be affected by this strategic review.
As a result of the review, effective June 29, 2018, SGS has sold part of
its EHS air operations in France to Entime, a French environmental
monitoring company, headquartered in Armentières. SGS and Entime will
enter a partnership through which stack emission monitoring will
continue to be offered by Entime and SGS will retain the laboratory
portion of the projects, so that SGS can continue to service customers
working with SGS globally on air emission matters.
SGS remains committed to growing its EHS division in France in the
coming years and currently offers the largest network of emission
monitoring and environmental testing capabilities in the world.
