Traffic figures
3'099’820 passengers were handled at Zurich Airport in August (+5.5% vs. previous year). Local passengers increased by 4.9% and transfer passengers increased by 6.6%. The transfer rate which was at 29.5% last August is at 29.8% in the month under review.

Air traffic movements
In August, air traffic movements increased by 3.2% to 25’717 versus previous year. 

Traffic ratios
The average seat load factor saw an increase of 0.9 percentage points to 82.7% and the average passenger per movement figure increased to 136.6 (133.8 previous year).

Commercial Activities 
Total turnover in August was CHF 52.8m (+4.6% vs. previous year). The increase divides into +6.3% for airside and +2.0% for landside.
