Zürich, October 23, 2018 - As of Friday October 19, Bird, the successful e-scooter sharing service from the United States, starts its services in Zurich. The company is offering a new innovative, affordable and environmentally friendly mobility service to the city of the Zurich. Zurich residents will be able to find, book and use a scooter between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. via the Bird app.
Swiss technology The GPS transmitters of the e-scooters come from Thalwil-based u-blox. With this, Bird relies on Swiss quality and reliability. Founded in 1997 by three ETH students, u-blox is a global provider of leading positioning and wireless communication technologies for the automotive, industrial, and consumer markets.
