SGS Expands Food Testing Capabilities in Ukraine Dienstag, 06. November 2018 - 00:00

Since July 2018, the SGS laboratory in Odessa, Ukraine, has been offering a new food testing service to analyze fat purity in milk products. The expansion in food testing capabilities follows significant investment in both equipment and training at the site.

SGS experts use gas chromatographic (GC) analysis of the triglycerides, in accordance with reference analytical method ISO 17678:2010, IDF 202:2010, to identify the falsification of butter with vegetable or animal fats. GC is a fast and effective way to identify the origin of triglycerides, whether they are butter, or from plant or animal, non-milk, origin.
