Über ihre Pharmagrossistin Galexis übernimmt Galenica die in der Verblisterung von Medikamenten führende Medifilm AG. Mit den spezifischen Dienstleistungen der Medifilm AG kann Galexis das Angebot für alle Apotheken, welche im Auftrag von Heimen Medikamente individuell für Patienten vorbereiten, erweitern. Medifilm AG wird innerhalb der Galenica Gruppe im Geschäftsbereich Logistics angesiedelt und als eigenständige Gesellschaft unter der bisherigen Leitung weitergeführt.
Medifilm AG ist darauf spezialisiert, im Auftrag von Apotheken Medikamente und Nahrungsergänzungsmittel individuell nach dem vorgesehenen Therapieplan für Dauer- und Langzeitpatienten speziell zu verpacken (Verblisterung); der Markenname Medifilm® steht für die dazu eingesetzte Verpackung. Die zur regelmässigen Einnahme benötigten Tabletten und Kapseln werden gemäss behördlichen Vorgaben und im Auftrag des Kunden maschinell gerüstet und in Beutel verpackt. Jeder Beutel ist mit dem Namen des Patienten und dem jeweiligen Einnahmezeitpunkt gekennzeichnet sowie mit einer Beschreibung der Medikamente versehen. Dies ermöglicht einen effizienten Medikationsprozess im Heim und erhöht damit die Pflegequalität und die Arzneimittelsicherheit für die Patienten.
Medifilm AG wurde 2007 gegründet und ist heute ein von Swissmedic zertifizierter Lohnhersteller und in der Schweiz Marktführer in der Verblisterung von Medikamenten. Das Unternehmen hat seinen Sitz in Oensingen (SO) und beschäftigt 25 Mitarbeitende. Es beliefert Apotheken, die mit Heimen zusam-menarbeiten und für diese die pharmazeutische Versorgung der Patienten mit Medikamenten sicherstellen.
Ziel ist, das Angebot in diesem wachsenden Markt weiter auszubauen unter Berücksichtigung der hohen Qualitäts- und steigenden industriellen Anforderungen. Medifilm AG profitiert künftig vom pharmazeutischen und industriellen Know-how der Galenica Gruppe und der Möglichkeit, Ausbauschritte zu realisieren, um die zunehmende Nachfrage gesamtschweizerisch abzudecken.
Mit der Integration der Medifilm AG in den Geschäftsbereich Logistics kann Galexis ihre Dienstleistungspalette für alle Kunden erweitern, welche im Auftrag von Heimen Medikamente individuell für Patienten vorbereiten. Das Unternehmen wird innerhalb der Galenica Gruppe als eigenständige Gesellschaft unter der bisherigen Leitung und mit dem bestehenden Team weitergeführt. Damit ist si-chergestellt, dass Medifilm AG auch in Zukunft ihre Dienstleistungen allen interessierten Marktteilnehmern anbieten kann.
Die Parteien haben Stillschweigen über die Transaktionskonditionen vereinbart.

Avec les prestations de service spécifiques de Medifilm SA, Galexis peut élargir son offre pour toutes les pharmacies qui préparent individuellement des médicaments sur demande des homes. Medifilm SA est intégrée au Domaine d’activités Logistics au sein du Groupe Galenica en tant que société autonome avec la même direction.
Medifilm SA est spécialisée dans l’emballage individuel des médicaments et des compléments alimentaires selon prescription, pour les patients permanents ou à long terme, sur ordre des pharmacies. Le nom de marque Medifilm® est le nom de l’emballage utilisé. Les tablettes et les capsules destinées à une prise régulière sont, conformément aux conventions légales et sur demande du client, préparées et emballées mécaniquement en sachet. Chaque sachet mentionne le nom du patient, le moment de la prise, ainsi qu’une description des médicaments; ce qui rend plus efficace le processus de médication des homes en améliorant la qualité des soins et la sécurité des médicaments pour les patients.
Fondée en 2007, Medifilm SA est actuellement un sous-traitant certifié par Swissmedic et leader sur le marché suisse du conditionnement des médicaments. Le siège de la société, qui emploie 25 collaborateurs, est situé à Oensingen (SO). Elle livre les pharmacies qui collaborent avec les homes et pour lesquels elles garantissent l’approvisionnement des patients en médicaments.

With the specific services provided by Medifilm Ltd., Galexis will expand its offering to all pharmacies who prepare medicines for pa-tients on an individual basis on behalf of care homes. Medifilm Ltd. will be positioned within the Logistics business sector of the Galenica Group and will continue to operate as an autonomous company under its existing management.
Medifilm Ltd. specialises in blister packaging medicines and nutritional supplements on behalf of pharmacies, according to the specific treatment plans for chronically ill and long-term patients; the brand name Medifilm® refers to the type of packaging used to do this. Tablets and capsules that must be taken regularly are prepared by machine in accordance with regulatory requirements on behalf of the customer, and are packed in sachets, each marked with the patient’s name, a description of the medication and the time at which it must be taken. This ensures that the process of administering medicines in the care home is efficient, thereby increasing the quality of care and drug safety for patients.
Medifilm Ltd. was established in 2007 and is now a contract manufacturer certified by Swissmedic and the market leader in blister packaging of medicines in Switzerland. The company is based in Oensingen in the canton of Solothurn and employs 25 members of staff. It supplies pharmacies that work together with care homes, helping to assure the provision of pharmaceutical care (medicines) to patients.
The aim is to further expand the offering for this growing market, taking into account the demand for high quality combined with industrial needs. In future, Medifilm Ltd. will benefit from the Galenica Group’s pharmaceutical and industrial expertise, allowing them the opportunity to implement expansion measures in order to meet growing demand across Switzerland.
By integrating Medifilm Ltd. in the Logistics business sector, Galexis will expand its range of services for all customers that prepare medicines for patients on an individual basis on behalf of care homes. The business will continue to operate as an autonomous company within the Galenica Group under its current management and with its existing team. This will ensure that Medifilm Ltd. can continue to of-fer its services to all interested market players in future.
