BKW increases results forecast

Advance information on 2019 annual results for BKW AG

The BKW Group is anticipating a better operating result for 2019 than previously expected. Thanks to excellent trading, the Group can increase further the forecasts it had confirmed in November.

BKW is expecting a significantly better operating result for 2019. Thanks to highly positive overall business and excellent trading, estimates had already increased to between CHF 350 and 370 million after the first half of the year. With particularly strong trading toward the end of the year, even this revised forecast was exceeded. Although the process of compiling year-end figures is still ongoing, BKW has raised its estimate of the annual result based on these positive developments.

BKW now expects the operating result for the 2019 financial year to exceed the EBIT for 2018 (CHF 417 million). BKW is also expecting a markedly higher annual profit.

These adjusted forecasts are subject to further findings as year-end accounting continues. As previously announced, BKW will present detailed information on the 2019 financial year and the 2019 annual report on 18 March 2020.
