On December 5, 2019, Taiwan’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) released Notice No.1081609206, which updated the List of Preservatives in Cosmetic Products referred to in Article 6(3) of Cosmetic Hygiene and Safety Act.
The following summarizes the changes, which will enter into force on July 1, 2020. Products manufactured before June 30, 2020 (subject to the manufacturing date) can continue to be sold within the expiry date.

Remarks:
(1) For use other than as a preservative, see the List of Ingredients Restricted in Cosmetic Products
(2) Not involved for children under 3 years of age, industries can judge whether the warning needs to be published based on the product attributes. However, the firm should take responsibility if the product harms consumers health because of lack of a warning
