Annual General Meeting 2020 postponement

Glencore plc wishes to update shareholders on the impact of the continuing Covid-19 situation and corresponding restrictions on its Annual General Meeting.

On 16 March the Swiss Federal Council issued a decree which prohibits the holding of public meetings. The Company is therefore unable to proceed with its planned AGM in Zug on 6 May.

Under the Company's articles of association, the AGM must be held by 30 June. To allow sufficient notice to be provided, the Company will announce the new AGM date prior to the end of May. While the Company hopes that this postponement will allow Glencore to hold a customary AGM, as the Covid-19 circumstances are fluid, changes to the usual arrangements, including location, may be made.

A new distribution timetable (previously announced on 18 February) will be issued following the announcement of the new date and arrangements for the AGM.
