ASCOM SETZT IHRE ASSET-LIGHT-STRATEGIE KONSEQUENT FORT

newspictureAscom Wireless Solutions hat mit der Fideltronik Gruppeeinen Outsourcingvertrag für den Produktions- und Reparaturbetrieb der schwedischen Fabrik Herrljunga abgeschlossen.

Gleichzeitig haben Fideltronik und Ascom einen strategischen Liefervertrag zur Fortführung des bestehenden Produktion und Reparatur von Geräten in Herrljunga unterzeichnet. Ascom wird das Supply Chain Management mit rund 20 Mitarbeitenden beibehalten.

Fideltronik Scandinavia AB wird ab 1. September 2013 die Fabrik in Herrljunga übernehmen und den Produktionsbetrieb auch mit externen Kunden weiterentwickeln. Als Teil dieser Transaktion werden 150 Mitarbeitende zu Fideltronik übertreten.

Fideltronik ist ein privat geführtes Unternehmen für Technologielösungen mit Hauptsitz in Sucha Beskidzka, Polen. Gegenwärtig beschäftigt Fideltronik 1400 Mitarbeitende an vier Standorten in Polen. Fideltronik Scandinavia AB ist eine Tochtergesellschaft der Fideltronik Gruppe, die bereits eine solide Kundenbasis in der nordischen Region hat.

„Mit dem Outsourcing unserer letzten Produktionsaktivitäten setzen wir die Implementierung unserer Asset-Light-Strategie konsequent fort“, unterstreicht Fritz Mumenthaler, CEO der Ascom. „Wir werden auf Gruppenstufe weiterhin 10% in Forschung und Entwicklung investieren, die Produktion unserer Geräte aber spezialisierten Unternehmen mit den notwendigen Skaleneffekten überlassen.“

ASCOM CONTINUES TO IMPLEMENT ITS ASSET LIGHT STRATEGY

newspictureAscom Wireless Solutions has concluded an agreement with Fideltronik Group to outsource production and repair in its Swedish factory in Herrljunga.

At the same time, Fideltronik and Ascom have entered into a strategic supply agreement to continue the existing production and repair of devices in Herrljunga. Ascom will continue to uphold a supply chain management with about 20 employees.

Fideltronik Scandinavia AB will as of 1 September 2013 take over the Herrljunga factory in Sweden and further develop the manufacturing business also with external customers. As part of the transaction 150 employees will transfer to Fideltronik.

Fideltronik is a privately owned technology solutions company with its headquarters in Sucha Beskidzka, Poland. Currently, the Fideltronik Group employs 1,400 people at four sites in Poland. Fideltronik Scandinavia AB is an affiliate of the Fideltronik Group, which already has a solid customer base in the Nordic region.

"With the outsourcing of Ascom’s last remaining assembly activities we continue the implementation of our asset light strategy", says Fritz Mumenthaler, CEO of Ascom. "We continue to invest over 10% in R&D on Group level, but have all our devices assembled by specialized companies with the necessary economies of scale", he adds.
