21st August 2013 – Geneva, Switzerland: Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB), a leading provider of advanced solutions for the connected home, will be unveiling new products for multi-screen environments at IBC2013, Hall 5 Stand B48. These solutions will make it easier for operators to deploy and manage new multi-screen pay-TV services in the home and on the move.
ADB will demonstrate hardware and software solutions that enable both pay-TV operators and broadband providers to connect subscribers with content and services by creating
a personalised and unified experience across all devices.
“At IBC2013, we will show how ADB’s end-to-end solutions make it easy for pay-TV and broadband operators to launch new services. We will demonstrate the value of a full-service pay-TV platform based on our pioneering technology, cost-effective solutions and systems integration expertise. We enable operators to manage the chaotic world of convergence by offering a simple, convenient and personalised service to their subscribers,” said Peter Balchin, recently appointed CEO at ADB.
The demonstrations at IBC2013 include ADB’s innovative Epicentro software platform, which gives operators the ability to broaden their portfolio of services for the connected home. With Epicentro, operators can activate services such as energy management, home security and remote healthcare. Operators can use Epicentro to remotely manage the entire home network and highlight and fix technical issues often before the end user is aware of a problem.
For the first time in Europe, ADB will demonstrate version 2 of its Commercial Video Solution (CVS), launched in June 2013. Now available as a cloud-based service, CVS is used by cable operators to deliver a cost-effective, easy-to-use, HD TV and broadband experience for hotels. Cable operators and hotels benefit by offering a high margin service while hotel guests can enjoy the same high quality TV viewing experience that they expect at home with over 100 HD channels and DVR-Lite features.
At IBC2013, ADB will unveil its STB Remote Monitoring and Audience Measurement System. By providing valuable insight about viewer behaviour, including live audience measurement from STBs, Remote Monitoring allows operators to offer more targeted interactive services and enhance customer support. Remote Monitoring has recently been deployed by Polish cable operator, Vectra.
At IBC2013, ADB will unveil its new STB testing tool which enables operators to quickly detect STB technical issues at their retail outlets and service centres. This new tool will filter out no fault found devices early in the repair cycle, reducing operational costs while increasing subscriber loyalty.
