Kaba stärkt ihre Marktposition in China - Akquisition von Shenzen Probuck Technologies Co. Ltd.

Rümlang, 23. August 2013 - Die Kaba Gruppe akquiriert die Shenzhen Probuck Technologies Co. Ltd. mit Sitz in Shenzhen (China). Das Unternehmen mit rund 340 Mitarbeitenden hat sich spezialisiert auf elektronische Zutrittskontrolle mit biometrischer Identifikation, basierend auf einer firmeneigenen Fingerprint-Technologie, wie auch Zeiterfassungsterminals. Riet Cadonau, CEO der Kaba Gruppe, sagt: „Mit diesem Kauf kann Kaba ihr Vertriebsnetz im chinesischen Markt ausbauen und gleichzeitig Produkte von Probuck über die bereits bestehenden Vertriebswege ausserhalb Chinas verkaufen.“

Beachtliches Vertriebsnetz

Probuck Technologies verfügt über mehr als 100 Vertriebspartner mit 3000 lokalen Verkaufsstellen in rund 80 Städten in China. Über dieses Vertriebsnetz beliefert Probuck General- und Bauunternehmer, Bauherren sowie Türhersteller. Diese Produkte werden unter dem eigenen Brand vertrieben. Die Firma stellt aber auch Produkte für den ODM Markt her (Original Device Manufacturer).

Wachstumsmarkt China

Probuck Technologies fokussiert auf den vielversprechenden chinesischen Wohnungsmarkt und die Produkte sind auf die Bedürfnisse des chinesischen Marktes ausgerichtet, werden aber auch in anderen Ländern des Asia Pacific Raumes verkauft. Diesbezüglich eröffnen sich mit dem bestehenden Kaba Vertriebsnetz in über 60 Ländern neue Chancen. Die Kaba Gruppe erwartet durch diesen Zukauf, dass in Zukunft auch Produkte aus der angestammten Produktpalette über die neu erworbenen Vertriebskanäle in China abgesetzt werden können.

Probuck Technologies ist ein schnell wachsendes Unternehmen und erwirtschaftet mit 340 Mitarbeitenden einen Jahresumsatz von ca. CHF 10 Mio. Über den Kaufpreis wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart. Der Kauf muss noch von den Behörden der Volksrepublik China bewilligt werden.

Rümlang, 23 August 2013 - Kaba Group is acquiring Shenzhen Probuck Technologies Co. Ltd., which is based in Shenzhen (China). The company, which has around 340 employees, specializes in electronic door lock solutions with biometric identification, based on own fingerprint technology, as well as time and attendance terminals. Kaba CEO Riet Cadonau: “The purchase allows Kaba to expand its distribution structure in the Chinese market, and at the same time, to sell Probuck’s products through our existing sales channels outside China.”

Noteworthy distribution network

Probuck Technologies sells its products through more than 100 wholesalers and distributors, with around 3000 sales points in about 80 cities in China.Through this distribution network, the company supplies general contractors, builders and door manufacturers. The company sells its products under its own brand,though it also makes products for the ODM (original device manufacturer) market.

Growth market China

Probuck Technologies concentrates on the promising Chinese residential market, and its products are focused on the needs of Chinese customers, though they are also sold in other countries in the Asia-Pacific region. Kaba's distribution network in more than 60 countries will open up new opportunities for these products. Meanwhile, Kaba Group expects that as a result of this purchase, some products in its existing range will also be sold through the newly acquired distribution channels in China.

Probuck Technologies, with its 340 employees, generates annual turnover of around CHF 10 million and is a fast-growing business. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price. Completion of the acquisition is subject to approval from the People’s Republic of China authorities.
