The addendum is developed to help companies with their COVID-19 mitigation efforts, while reducing audit fatigue by assessing COVID-19 Safety Control requirements during regular certification scheme audits.
The COVID-19 Safety Control Program covers all the key elements of the WHO guidelines and those of other recognized bodies including:
- Management Commitment, Involvement and Implementation
- GMP Personnel Practice
- Social Distancing and Illness Reporting
- Cleaning and Sanitation Policies – Utensils, Equipment, and Contact Surfaces
- Additional Risk Prevention for Viral Cross-Contamination
- Crisis Management & Business Continuity Planning
Upon successful completion, SGS will issue a COVID-19 Safety Control certificate along with a full report of findings.
The Program has been designed to be easily adapted to meet individual requirements and can also be delivered as a stand-alone audit. A surveillance option is also available with a certificate issued for identifying ongoing compliance. The content and frequency of the audits can be customized to incorporate local regulatory or client-specific requirements.
