Statement der Schweizerischen Bankiervereinigung zum Entscheid des Bundesrates zum US-Programm

Basel, 28. August 2013

  • Die SBVg begrüsst den positiven Entscheid des Bundesrates, da damit der letzte Schritt zu einer Lösung erfolgt ist und die USA nun das Programm auflegen können.
  • Das Programm ermöglicht allen Banken in der Schweiz ihre US-Vergangenheit rasch und abschliessend zu bereinigen und schafft die nötige Rechtssicherheit.
  • Sobald das Programm aufgeschaltet ist, wird jede Bank ihre Situation analysieren und dann entscheiden.
  • Positiv ist auch, dass der Schutz der Mitarbeitenden nun bestmöglich gewährt werden kann, da die Vereinbarung zwischen den beiden Sozialpartnern und der SBVg in Kraft treten wird.

 

Prise de position de l’Association suisse des banquiers (ASB) relative à la décision du Conseil fédéral sur le programme des autorités américaines

  • L’ASB salue la décision positive du Conseil fédéral: la dernière étape visant à trouver une solution est ainsi franchie et les Etats-Unis peuvent maintenant lancer le programme.
  • Le programme permet à toutes les banques en Suisse un règlement rapide et définitif de  leur passé avec les Etats-Unis et crée la sécurité juridique nécessaire.
  • Dès le lancement du programme, chaque banque analysera sa situation et prendra ensuite des décisions.
  • Autre élément positif: la protection des collaborateurs peut désormais bénéficier d’une garantie optimale car la convention entre les deux partenaires sociaux et l’ASB entrera en vigueur.

  • L'ASB guarda con favore alla decisione del Consiglio federale favorevole che segna il passo conclusivo della procedura di trovare una soluzione e consente ora agli USA di pubblicare il programma.
  • Il programma consente a tutte le banche in Svizzera a regolare con rapidità e in maniera definitiva tutte le questioni aperte con gli USA e stablisce la certezza del diritto voluta e necessaria.
  • In seguito all'attivazione del programma, ogni banca potrà analizzare la propria situazione e decidere di conseguenza.
  • È altresì valutata positivamente la tutela che può essere garantita ai collaboratori, grazie all'entrata in vigore della convenzione tra le due parti sociali e l'ASB.
 

Statement from the Swiss Bankers Association regarding the Federal Council decision on the US programme

  • The SBA welcomes the positive outcome of the Federal Council’s decision, as this means that the final step towards a solution has been taken and the US can now launch the programme.
  • The programme enables all banks in Switzerland to settle their US past quickly and conclusively and creates the necessary legal certainty.
  • As soon as the programme becomes public, each bank will analyse its situation and then make a decision.
  • A further positive factor is that the protection of employees can now be afforded to the best possible extent, as the agreement between the two social partners and the SBA will come into effect.
