Arbonia successfully refinances syndicated loan
Arbon, 10 November 2020 – The new lending facility of CHF 250 million will once again be issued in the form of a syndicated loan, replacing the existing syndicated loan of CHF 350 million ahead of schedule, with an original term from September 2016 to September 2021. Arbonia managed to secure better structural conditions.
Yesterday, Arbonia refinanced a syndicated loan amounting to CHF 350 million (originally running until 14 September 2021) early and with better conditions and warranties, which will have a positive effect on the financial expenses. The new syndicated loan of CHF 250 million was issued by a consortium of banks within and outside of Switzerland under the leadership of UBS, Credit Suisse and ZKB and was substantially oversubscribed. With a term of five years, the new lending facility offers the option of extending the contract twice by one year each time.
The oversubscription, better conditions and lower warranties as well as extension options regarding the term of the syndicated loan are proof of the confidence the banking market has in the strong balance sheet, good positioning and promising perspectives of Arbonia.
In April 2018 Arbonia also took up a promissory note loan of EUR 125 million, divided into three instalments with terms of five, seven and ten years, representing its second important financial instrument.
