Personnel Change in the Executive Committee
For deeply personal and private reasons, Dr. Thomas Wenzel has decided to step down from his position as President X-Ray Systems and as a member of the Executive Committee, and plans to leave the company early next year.
The Board of Directors and Management team respect his personal request to leave Comet. Thomas Wenzel started with Comet Group in 2015. In 2018 he took over the management of the systems business as President X-Ray Systems. Thanks to his excellent market understanding, his great technical competence and his optimistic personality, Thomas Wenzel and his team have successfully repositioned the X-ray Systems business to be a contributing entity within Comet even in light of the unprecedented COVID-related softness in some end markets. The Board of Directors and Management thank him for the enormous commitment that this task has demanded of him and wish to thank him for his valuable contribution over the last 5 years. They wish him all the best for his professional and private future.
Thomas Wenzel will continue to perform his duties until the end of April 2021 to ensure a careful handover of responsibilities to his successor.
