ADB MEDIABOX PLATFORM WINS CSI AWARD FOR BEST SATELLITE SOLUTION AT IBC 2013 Samstag, 14. September 2013 - 01:00

13th September 2013 - Geneva, Switzerland: Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB), a leading supplier of advanced solutions for the connected home, today announced that its ADB Mediabox Platform has won a prestigious CSI award for Best Satellite Contribution/Distribution/Transmission solution at IBC2013.

Launched in March 2013, ADB’s Mediabox Platform is a state-of-the-art digital TV receiver and DVR that provides multi-room and hybrid multi-screen functionality. It delivers a consistent user interface across all devices and includes innovative functions such as Follow Me and Smooth View™. Follow Me enables viewers to easily switch content between devices in the home. Smooth View allows the viewer to fluently fast-forward DVR content while maintaining fully understandable audio.

Mediabox makes it easy and cost-effective for operators to launch TV anywhere services without duplicating their broadcast infrastructure. In March 2013 nc+ started deploying Mediabox to its subscribers to be the centre of their connected home and entertainment experience.The Mediabox platform acts as a satellite gateway, taking the satellite TV channels and making them available to STBs and mobile devices within the home.

Mediabox is an integral part of nc+’s next-generation multi-screen environment, announced in September 2013. nc+ has remotely configured the ADB Mediabox set-top boxes with ADB’s hybrid multi-screen.
