Autoneum hat gemeinsam mit dem Automobilzulieferer Auto Interior Products in Thailand das Unternehmen Summit & Autoneum Ltd. gegründet. In der Gesellschaft werden die Technologien und globalen Kundenbeziehungen von Autoneum mit dem Zugang zu den bestehenden Produktionskapazitäten des Partners gebündelt, um so Pkw-Herstellern im Wachstumsmarkt Thailand innovative und leistungsfähige Lösungen für Akustik- und Wärmemanagement anzubieten.
Mit der Akquisition und technischen Entwicklung von Aufträgen sowie dem Verkauf von Komponenten und Systemen für Akustik- und Wärmemanagement an nicht-japanische Automobilhersteller in Thailand erweitert Autoneum sein Kundenportfolio und nutzt das Potenzial des wachsenden thailändischen Automobilmarktes. Summit & Autoneum hat bereits erste Kundenanfragen erhalten und wird Serienteile im bestehenden Werk des Partners und thailändischen Automobilzulieferers Auto Interior Products (AIP) in Rayong produzieren lassen.
Thailand ist Mitglied der „Association of Southeast Asian Nations“ (ASEAN) und durch die damit verbundene Freihandelszone ein wichtiger Produktionsstandort für Automobilhersteller in Asien. 2012 wurden in Thailand über 2.4 Millionen leichte Motorfahrzeuge produziert, für 2019 wird ein Wachstum auf 3 Millionen Fahrzeuge erwartet. „Durch Summit & Autoneum wird uns in der ASEAN-Region ein direkter Zugang zu einem wichtigen Wachstumsmarkt ermöglicht. So stärken wir unsere Position in Thailand und damit in Asien nachhaltig“, betonte Autoneum-CEO Martin Hirzel anlässlich der Vertragsunterzeichnung.
Auto Interior Products (AIP) ist ein Tochterunternehmen von Summit Auto Seats Industry (SAS). Gemeinsam mit SAS und dem Partner Nihon Tokushu Torryo (Nittoku) betreibt Autoneum in Thailand bereits seit 2007 das Unternehmen SRN Sound Proof zur Belieferung der dort ansässigen japanischen Automobilhersteller. Autoneum further expanding market position in Asia
Autoneum has founded the company Summit & Autoneum Ltd. in Thailand together with automotive supplier Auto Interior Products. Summit & Autneum combines Autoneum's technologies and global customer relationships with access to the partner’s established manufacturing capacities. It provides light vehicle manufacturers in the emerging market of Thailand with innovative and high-performance solutions for acoustic and thermal management.
The acquisition and technical fulfillment of orders as well as selling components and systems for acoustic and thermal management to non-Japanese light vehicle manufacturers in Thailand enables Autoneum to expand its customer portfolio and tap the potential of the growing Thai automotive market. Summit & Autoneum has already received first enquiries for new business. Serial parts will be produced in the existing plant of the partner, Thai automotive supplier Auto Interior Products (AIP), in Rayong.
Thailand is a member of the “Association of Southeast Asian Nations” (ASEAN) and thanks to the ASEAN free trade area a key production site for automobile manufacturers in Asia. Auto Interior Products (AIP) is a subsidiary of Summit Auto Seats Industry (SAS). Together with SAS and the partner Nihon Tokushu Torryo (Nittoku), Autoneum has already been operating a company called SRN Sound Proof in Thailand since 2007 for supplying the Japanese light vehicle manufacturers present there.
