SIX acquiring Austrian card provider PayLife
SIX, which operates the infrastructure underpinning the Swiss financial sector, is acquiring PayLife GmbH, the Austrian market leader in the field of cashless payment, from a group of Austrian banks. In this way, SIX is underscoring its intention to push its international growth and become one of Europe's leading providers for card-based payment services. The sale of PayLife to SIX was approved by the Austrian Cartel Court and completed yesterday. The parties agreed not to disclose the acquisition price.

SIX, Betreiberin der Schweizer Finanzplatzinfrastruktur, erwirbt von österreichischen Banken die PayLife Bank GmbH, die Marktführerin für bargeldloses Bezahlen in Österreich. Damit unterstreicht SIX das Ziel, das internationale Wachstum voranzutreiben und zu den führenden Anbietern für kartenbasierten Zahlungsverkehr in Europa zu gehören. Der Verkauf von PayLife an SIX wurde vom österreichischen Kartellgericht freigegeben und konnte gestern vollzogen werden. Zum Verkaufspreis wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart.

SIX, qui exploite les infrastructures de la place financière suisse, annonce le rachat auprès de banques autrichiennes de PayLife Bank GmbH, le numéro un des paiements sans espèces en Autriche. Cette opération souligne la volonté de SIX d’accélérer sa croissance internationale et de faire partie des principaux acteurs européens du trafic des paiements par carte en Europe. La vente de PayLife à SIX a reçu l'aval du tribunal chargé de la répression des ententes illicites (Kartellgericht) et l'opération s'est achevée hier. Il a été convenu que le prix de l’acquisition ne serait pas divulgué.
