Ethos Stiftung : Präsidentenwechsel im Frühjahr 2015

Kaspar Müller, Präsident der Ethos Stiftung und des Unternehmens Ethos Services, hat angekündigt, dass er an der Generalversammlung 2015 nicht mehr zur Wiederwahl antritt. K.Müller ist seit der Gründung von Ethos 1997 Mitglied des Stiftungsrats und seit 2007 Präsident. „Ich bin sehr zufrieden, dass die Ethos Stiftung nunmehr ein Entwicklungsstadium erreicht hat, das die Umsetzung einer langfristig orientierten Nachfolgeplanung ermöglicht“, sagt Müller.

Im Interesse der Gewährleistung einer strategischen Kontinuität haben die beiden Räte beschlossen, den bisherigen Direktor, Dominique Biedermann, als ihren neuen Präsidenten ab Frühjahr 2015 vorzuschlagen. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt wird Biedermann seinen Posten als Direktor niederlegen, um sich seiner neuen Aufgabe zu widmen.

Die Räte haben nun 18 Monate Zeit zur Suche und Ernennung eines neuen Direktors an der Spitze von Ethos. Diese Frist soll dazu dienen, dass die Ethos Stiftung im Zuge des Führungswechsels ihre Vorreiterstellung in den Bereichen nachhaltige Anlagen und aktives Aktionariat aufrechterhält.

Kaspar Müller, président de la Fondation Ethos et de la société Ethos Services, a annoncé qu'il ne se représentera plus à réélection lors de l'assemblée générale en 2015. K. Müller est membre du Conseil de fondation depuis la création d'Ethos en 1997 et son président depuis 2007. Il a déclaré «Je suis très satisfait que la Fondation Ethos ait atteint un stade de maturité qui permet dorénavant la mise en place d'une planification de la succession à long terme».

Afin de garantir la continuité dans l'évolution stratégique, le Conseil de fondation d'Ethos et le Conseil d'administration d'Ethos Services ont décidé de proposer Dominique Biedermann, directeur actuel, comme leur nouveau président à partir du printemps 2015. A cette date, il quittera son poste de directeur pour se concentrer sur ses nouvelles fonctions.

Les Conseils disposent maintenant d'un délai de 18 mois pour rechercher et nommer un nouveau directeur à la tête d'Ethos. Ce délai permet de s'assurer que les changements au sein de la Direction maintiendront l'orientation pionnière de la Fondation Ethos en matière d'investissement socialement responsable et d'actionnariat actif.

Ethos Foundation: Chairman to retire in 2015

Kaspar Müller, chairman of Ethos Foundation and Ethos Services has announced that he will not stand for re-election at the 2015 annual general meeting. Kaspar Müller has been a member of Ethos Foundation's board since its inception in 1997 and its chairman since 2007. Kaspar Müller says “I am very pleased that the Foundation has reached a stage that allows the implementation of a long term succession plan of its board”.

In order to ensure continuity in the strategic planning of Ethos, the board of trustees of the Foundation and the board of directors of Ethos Services have decided to nominate Dominique Biedermann, Ethos' executive director, as their joint new chairman at the 2015 AGM. At this date, Dominique Biedermann will retire from his executive position to take on his new duties.

The two boards have now 18 months in order to identify and nominate a new executive director for Ethos. This time frame is sufficient to ensure that the changes in Ethos' management will maintain the pioneering orientation of the Foundation with regard to socially responsible investment and active share ownership.
