Axpo kauft zwei Windparks in Frankreich – Energie für 12 000 Haushalte
Mit dem Kauf von zwei Windparks in Nordfrankreich baut Axpo ihren Windkraft-Anlagepark weiter aus. Die beiden Anlagen produzieren insgesamt 56 Gigawattstunden (GWh) Strom. Dies entspricht dem Stromverbrauch von 12 000 Haushalten.
Die beiden Windparks liegen in windreichen Gebieten im Norden von Frankreich. Der Windpark «Éolien de St. Riquier» ist rund 30 Kilometer von der Küste entfernt in der Nähe von Amiens situiert und seit zwei Jahren in Betrieb. Seine sechs Windturbinen produzieren 28.5 GWh Strom. Der in diesem Jahr eröffnete «Parc éolien Plaine Dynamique» liegt in der Champagne-Ardenne rund 100 km östlich von Paris. Zusammen produzieren die beiden Windparks insgesamt 56 GWh Strom – was den Bedarf von 12 000 Haushalten deckt.
Mit dieser Akquisition investiert Axpo in zwei bestehende Windkraftanlagen, die in Gegenden mit zuverlässigem Windaufkommen liegen und über eine bestens bewährte Technologie verfügen. Da beide Anlagen bereits fixfertig in Betrieb stehen, entfallen die Entwicklungs- und Baurisiken.

Axpo buys two wind farms in France supplying energy for 12 000 households
With the purchase of two wind farms in the north of France, Axpo is further enlarging its wind power fleet. Together, these two wind farms produce a total of 56 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity, which covers the electricity consumption of 12 000 households.
The two wind farms are situated in windswept areas in the north of France. The "Éolien de St. Riquier" wind farm, located around 30 km from the coast in the vicinity of Amiens, has been in operation for the past two years. Its six wind turbines produce 28.5 GWh of electricity. The "Parc éolien Plaine Dynamique" wind farm is located in Champagne-Ardenne around 100 km to the east of Paris and came on line this year. Together, the two wind farms generate a total of 56 GWh of electricity, which covers the needs of 12 000 households.
With this acquisition Axpo is investing in two existing wind farms using tried-and-tested technologies that are located in areas with reliable wind patterns. As both wind farms are already fully operational, Axpo is not exposed to any development and construction risks.
