UBS launches sustainable mortgage "Green Mortgage" on real estate financing platform UBS Atrium Mittwoch, 19. Mai 2021 - 09:08

Zurich, 19 May 2021 – UBS continues to focus on sustainable investment and financial products – this includes the real estate sector. As of now, borrowers will benefit from a discount for taking out a sustainable mortgage, the so-called "Green Mortgage", via UBS Atrium. This is, if they have a recognized sustainability certificate for the construction or renovation of their property. At the same time, this step enables investors to make sustainable investments and to identify them as such in their reporting.

UBS Atrium is the first Swiss real estate platform for investment properties that actively promotes sustainable real estate financing. The "Green Mortgage" will be introduced on the platform as the first step in a pilot. Since its launch in 2017, UBS Atrium has brokered more than 2 billion Swiss francs in volume. In addition to the "Green Mortage" offering, the platform is continuously expanded according to client needs. Expansion of the offering for other client groups is planned.
