The wait is over. Google has today released Android KitKat, the latest version of its Android mobile operating system, named after Nestlé's popular confectionery brand.

The branding partnership - one of the biggest technology and marketing stories of the year when it was announced in September - has already generated more than 1 billion tweets alone.
