China is the largest emerging market for pharmaceuticals. Datwyler expects the relevant healthcare market to grow by more than 10% annually in the coming years.

Yantai Xinhui Packing has a modern plant with spare capacity for the production of elastomer components for healthcare applications. With some 170 employees, the company generates annual revenue of around CHF 15 million. With Yantai Xinhui Packing, Datwyler is acquiring an important local presence in China. This will enable Datwyler to play an active role in the Chinese healthcare market and to participate more strongly than before in its growth.

Yantai Xinhui Packing brings a modern production plant, motivated employees, existing customer contacts and a well-established sales organization. Datwyler contributes its core competencies in solution design, material know-how and operational excellence as well as its global industry experience. Together, the two companies will create an optimal platform for local production and marketing of Datwyler's product range for the Chinese healthcare market.
