Ad hoc announcement pursuant to Art. 53 LR
SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of Bucharest-based Industry Lab, further enhancing our portfolio of testing services for the Romanian food market.
Founded in 2009, Industry Lab offers a comprehensive range of microbiological analysis services, from enumeration of indicator organisms to detection of foodborne pathogens. It benefits from full authorizations for food testing laboratories from the Romanian authorities and is accredited in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025:2018.
Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS, said: "The acquisition of Industry Lab is in line with our strategic focus of expanding our food services and laboratory network in Europe. It fills a gap in our Health & Nutrition services portfolio in Romania and will allow us to generate efficiencies and better serve our clients in this market. Industry Lab has worked with SGS for many years and we are happy to welcome the team within our organization."
