We are proud to introduce the NORA-W3 series,
the latest addition to our multi-radio stand-alone module portfolio.
The NORA-W3 is a compact dual-band Wi-Fi 4 and Bluetooth LE 5 module
featuring u-connectXpress for easy integration.
The
NORA-W3 is well-suited for applications such as HVAC or energy
management, EV charging, professional power tools, and industrial
sensors monitoring – offering a trade-off between features and costs.
NORA-W3
is the right successor to ODIN-W2 or NINA-W15 if you want to upgrade
from single to dual-band Wi-Fi. This new NORA series offers pin
compatibility to other modules in the NORA form factor family for an
easy transition from NORA-B1 or NORA-W1.
In
addition to its embedded antennas, NORA-W3 can deliver ease of
integration thanks to its u-connectXpress software, reducing time to
market. The host controller configures the wireless communication using
high-level AT commands thus omitting the need for expertise in Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth protocols stacks.
Based
on the Realtek Ameba D chipset, the NORA-W3 supports a set of enhanced
security features including TrustZone®, AES/SHA accelerators, secure
boot, debug port protection, and flash encryption.
The
10-by-14-millimeter compact module comes in two variants, the NORA-W36
series with u-connectXpress and the NORA-W30 with open CPU. First
samples of the NORA-W3 module will be available in the coming months.
