Ascom will provide its IP-DECT infrastructure and alarm system solution to a Swiss nuclear power station in Switzerland.
The order is worth around 1.2 million Swiss francs.
With this order, Ascom is now the supplier of the cordless and alarm solutions in all Swiss nuclear power plants.
The installed IP solution will be integrated into the existing Unified communications solution. At the same time, the establishment of a Unite environment is planned, to ensure alarming scenarios (technical and personnel alarms).
In particular, the alarm system from Ascom was able to convince the operators of the client. It shows considerable added value compared to the currently installed solution.
Rollout will begin shortly, and implementation is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.
