Credit Suisse verkauft lokal in Deutschland gebuchtes Private-Banking-Geschäft an ABN AMRO
Zürich, 05. Dezember 2013 Die Credit Suisse hat heute den Verkauf ihres lokal in Deutschland gebuchten Private-Banking-Geschäfts an ABN AMRO bekannt gegeben. Vorangegangen war die Ankündigung der Credit Suisse, ihr Kundenbetreuungsmodell für das Private Banking in Westeuropa zu überprüfen.
Wie bereits mitgeteilt, überprüft die Credit Suisse ihr Kundenbetreuungsmodell für Westeuropa, um Chancen optimal wahrnehmen und erfolgreich im aktuellen Marktumfeld bestehen zu können. Dies umfasst die Konzentration von Ressourcen auf Wachstumsbereiche, die Anpassung der Kapazitäten auf die Kundenbedürfnisse, die effiziente Steuerung der Kosten der verschiedenen Geschäftsbereiche und die Verbesserung der Marktposition.
Vor diesem Hintergrund hat die Credit Suisse beschlossen, sich auf äusserst vermögende und sehr vermögende Kunden (UHNWI und premium HNWI) zu konzentrieren und diese Kunden künftig über globale Buchungsplattformen ausserhalb Deutschlands zu betreuen. Als Konsequenz wird die Credit Suisse ihr gesamtes lokal in Deutschland gebuchtes Private-Banking-Geschäft veräussern. Der Verkauf umfasst auch das in Deutschland gebuchte Geschäft mit unabhängigen Vermögensverwaltern. Die von Frankfurt aus betreuten Geschäftsbereiche Asset Management, Real Estate Asset Management und Investment Banking sind davon nicht betroffen.
Durch die Kombination des lokal in Deutschland gebuchten Private-Banking-Geschäfts der Credit Suisse mit der bewährten Plattform von ABN AMRO, deren deutsche Aktivitäten in der Bethmann Bank gebündelt sind, entsteht der drittgrösste Anbieter von Private Banking in Deutschland. Die Bethmann Bank zählt in Deutschland bereits heute zu den führenden Anbietern von Private-Banking-Dienstleistungen. Die Bank ist Teil des internationalen Private-Banking-Netzes der ABN AMRO Gruppe. Sie verbindet die Exklusivität einer 300 Jahre alten deutschen Privatbank mit der Stabilität und den Ressourcen eines starken, international tätigen Finanzkonzerns.
Für die Credit Suisse bleibt die Betreuung von Kunden in Deutschland weiterhin von höchster Bedeutung. In Zukunft konzentriert sie sich auf äusserst vermögende und sehr vermögende Privatkunden, die auf den globalen Buchungsplattformen ausserhalb Deutschlands, insbesondere in der Schweiz und in Luxemburg, geführt werden. Diese Kunden werden weiterhin vom strukturierten Beratungsprozess, den massgeschneiderten Angeboten, umfassenden Anlagedienstleistungen und dem Investment-Banking-Know-how der Credit Suisse profitieren. Die Dienstleistungen der Bank werden dabei mit derselben hohen Qualität wie bisher erbracht.

Unsere Kunden werden weiterhin von der umfassenden Anlageberatung und Produktpalette der Credit Suisse und von der Expertise unseres Investment Banking im Bereich Kapitalmarkt und Strukturierung profitieren.»
Die Transaktion soll vorbehaltlich der Erfüllung der üblichen Bedingungen im Laufe des Jahres 2014 abgeschlossen werden. Über den Verkaufspreis wurde Stillschweigen vereinbart.
