OSIRE® E5515: innovative Data Matrix Code provides individual ID linked to measurement data for every single LED

New to the market, the OSIRE® E5515 helps manufacturers of automotive lighting modules and systems to increase production throughput and efficiency while achieving extremely high consistency in optical quality and performance. An innovation, called DMC (Data Matrix Code), is a unique, machine-readable code imprinted on top of each LED package. DMC is available today on some members of the OSIRE® family of automotive LEDs. The code on the package links to the individual data for each LED production unit: color coordinates, luminous intensity and forward voltage at two currents.

Revolutionizing tomorrow’s mobility

For ams OSRAM, the DVN workshop in Munich was all about automotive exterior lighting. Two of the most groundbreaking innovations attracted a great deal of interest – EVIYOS® and ALIYOS™. EVIYOS® stands for intelligent adaptive driving light with maximum resolution. More than 25,000 pixels per LED illuminate the road with dynamic light in multifunctional headlights and ensure glare-free light thanks to pixel-fine adjustment. ALIYOS™ is a completely new LED-on-foil technology whose ‘light out of nowhere’ effect opens completely new design possibilities for rear lighting – in the best quality for testing demands. Thinking ‘outside the box’ with this technology was the focus of the presentation by Manuel Walch, Product Marketing Professional. Wolfgang Lex, Senior Vice President Mobility & Illumination, also drew on ams OSRAM's many years of expertise in his keynote speech on ‘The photonic journey of semiconductor light over the last 40 years.’
