Key traffic figures January 2025
In January 2025, 2,084,181 passengers passed through Zurich Airport, corresponding to an increase of 6% compared to last year.
In January, the number of local passengers was 1,448,467. Transfer passengers amounted to 30%, equal to 629,336 passengers.
Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 6% to 19,491 take offs or landings. The average passenger per movement figure decreased to 124 (-1% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was at 73% (-1 percentage point vs. previous year).
A total of 32,814 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of January. This led to an increase of 3% in freight volume compared to last year.
