Key traffic figures May 2025
In May 2025, 2,775,275 passengers passed through Zurich Airport, corresponding to an increase of 0.1% compared to last year.
In May, the number of local passengers was 2,002,850. Transfer passengers amounted to 28%, equal to 767,514 passengers.
Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 1% to 24,092 take offs or landings. The average passenger per movement figure decreased to 130 (-2% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was at 77% (-2 percentage points vs. previous year).
A total of 36,935 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of May. This led to a decrease of 1% in freight volume compared to last year.
