In June 2025, 2,933,434 passengers passed through Zurich Airport, corresponding to an increase of 4.5% compared to last year.
In June, the number of local passengers was 2,154,817. Transfer passengers amounted to 26%, equal to 772,712 passengers. In total, 14.96 million passengers travelled through Zurich Airport in the first half of 2025. This marks the first time that a half-year result has surpassed the pre-crisis levels of 2019, setting a new record for the first half of the year in the airport’s history. Compared to the first half of 2019, this represents a 0.2% increase in passenger numbers.
Year on year, air traffic movements increased by 2.6% to 24,205 take offs or landings. The average passenger per movement figure increased to 139 (+1% vs. previous year). The average seat load factor was at 82% unchanged compared to the previous year).
A total of 35,905 tons of freight were transported at Zurich Airport during the month of June. This led to a decrease of 4.1% in freight volume compared to last year.
