Die Jungfraubahn-Gruppe erzielte ihr bestes Ergebnis
Die Jungfraubahn-Gruppe konnte ihr Ergebnis um 16% steigern und erzielte im Jahr 2013 einen Rekordgewinn von 30,2 Millionen Franken. An der heutigen Bilanzmedienkonferenz in Bern wird das vergangene Geschäftsjahr kommentiert.
Mit einem Betriebsertrag von 164 Millionen Franken verzeichnete die Jungfraubahn-Gruppe den höchsten Umsatz ihrer Geschichte. Das Wachstum erreichte sie vor allem im Geschäft mit asiatischen Gästen. 823'000 Personen fuhren im Jahr 2013 zum Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Insgesamt liegt die Besucherzahl lediglich 1,2% Gäste hinter dem Jubiläumsjahr zurück und entspricht dem zweitbesten Ergebnis seit der Eröffnung der Jungfraubahn im Jahr 1912. Gleichzeitig wurde ein höherer Durchschnittsertrag pro Gast erzielt. Im Geschäftsfeld Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe resultierte beim Verkehrsertrag mit CHF 92,7 Millionen ein Plus von 6,2%. Es zahlte sich aus, dass die Jungfraubahnen die Marke Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe global weiter stärkten.
Im Geschäftsfeld Wintersport erzielte die Jungfraubahn-Gruppe Einnahmen von 24,3 Millionen Franken, was einem Zuwachs von 4,2% entspricht. Anhaltend gute Schneeverhältnisse von Jahresbeginn bis zum Saisonschluss im Frühjahr 2013 sowie ein früher Start in die Wintersaison 2013/14 wirkten sich positiv auf das Wintersportgeschäft aus. Das Ergebnis liegt jedoch deutlich hinter den guten Wintersportjahren von 2007 bis 2009 zurück.
Im Geschäftsfeld Erlebnisberge, das den Ausflugsverkehr auf den Harder Kulm, nach First und Winteregg-Mürren umfasst, registrierte die Jungfraubahn-Gruppe durchwegs positive Besucherzahlen. Insgesamt erzielte sie im Jahr 2013 mit CHF 9,3 Millionen ein Plus von 9,5%.
Die Jungfraubahn-Gruppe hat in den vergangenen zehn Jahren einen Free Cashflow von CHF 207,6 Millionen Franken erreicht. Damit hat sie ihr finanzielles Ziel von 130 Millionen Franken zwischen 2004 und 2013 um 60% übertroffen und wird eine Nachhaltigkeitsprämie von CHF 3,7 Millionen Franken an das Personal, Kader und den Verwaltungsrat auszahlen.

Der Verwaltungsrat beschloss, die finanziellen Zielsetzungen für das Unternehmen beizubehalten und hat für die kommende Periode 2014 – 2023 ebenfalls ein Free Cashflow Ziel definiert. Dieses wird trotz der im Zusammenhang mit dem Projekt V-Bahn anstehenden hohen Investitionen leicht auf CHF 150 Mio. angehoben. Die Generalversammlung der Jungfraubahn-Gruppe wird am 19. Mai 2014 in Interlaken durchgeführt. Der Verwaltungsrat schlägt eine unveränderte Dividende von 1,80 Franken vor.

Jungfrau Railway Group achieves best result
In 2013, the Jungfrau Railway Group was able to increase its result by 16% and achieved a record profit of 30.2 million francs. The result will be commented on at today’s financial statement media conference in Bern.
With an operating revenue of 164 million francs, the Jungfrau Railway Group recorded the highest revenue in its history. The growth was reached primarily in business with Asian guests. In 2013, 823,000 people travelled to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe. Overall, the number of visitors was only 1.2% below the figure for the centenary year and is thus the second best result since the Jungfrau Railway opened in 1912. A higher average yield per visitor was also achieved. The business segment Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe recorded a traffic income result of CHF 92.7 million, an increase of 6.2%. The Jungfrau Railways strategy of globally strengthening the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe brand has clearly paid off.
In the winter sport business segment, the Jungfrau Railway Group achieved a revenue of 24.3 million francs, equating to a growth of 4.2%. Continued good snow conditions from the beginning of the year to the end of the season in spring 2013 and an early start to the 2013/14 winter season, had a positive effect on the winter sport business. However, the result lies considerably below the good winter sport years of 2007 to 2009.
The Jungfrau Railway Group recorded consistently good visitor numbers in the experience moun-tains business segment, which comprises excursion traffic to the Harder Kulm, First and Winteregg-Mürren. In total it achieved CHF 9.3 million in 2013, a plus of 9.5%.
Over the last 10 years the Jungfrau Railway Group has achieved a free cash flow of CHF 207.6 million francs. It has thus exceeded by 60% its financial goal of achieving 130 million francs between 2004 and 2013, and will pay out a sustainability premium of CHF 3.7 million francs to the staff, management and executive board.

The executive board has decided to maintain the financial goals for the company and has also set a free cash flow target for the coming period of 2014 – 2023. This will be slightly increased to CHF 150 million despite the considerable pending investment in association with the V-Cableway project. The Annual General Meeting of the Jungfrau Railway Group will be held in Interlaken on 19 May 2014. The Executive Board are recommending an unchanged dividend of 1.80 francs.
